Trustee Vacancy - Life Cycle UK in Derby
Thriving cycling charity Life Cycle UK has an opening for trustees in Derby.
Life Cycle exists to help people to take up or rediscover cycling for utility or recreation and to cycle safely and with confidence. Life Cycle are seeking a senior professional to join their experienced trustee board, dawn from a variety of backgrounds and with a range of business and professional expertise, connected by a love of cycling. They have bases in Bristol and Derby and also run projects in other parts of the country including Bournemouth and North Somerset.
The are looking for an able, motivated individual who:
- is committed to helping Life Cycle achieve their vision
- Can contribute to our strategic directin and leadership
- Advocate for the organisation and its work
- Support the organisation to meet its legal requirements
- Support the organsation to maximise opportunities to achieve outcomes
Life Cycle are particularly keen to recruit a new trustee based in Derby where they already have significant operations and scope to develop their work further. The role of a trustee based in Derby would be to raise their profile, help identify opportunities and potential for development, support the staff and volunteer team, network with key stakeholders and advocate on Life Cycle's behalf to key decision makers in the area.
Applications are welcome from people of all ages (minimum 18) and from all sections of society. No formal qualifications are required. Women and people from black and minority ethnic groups are currently under-represented on their Board and they are particularly keen to redress that imbalance.
