Peak District Neighbourhood Planning Roadshow

Neighbourhood Planning - What's it all about?

Does your town, village or parish want to have more influence on shaping future development? If the answer is yes, then you need a Neighbourhood Development Plan.

Come along to this FREE event for information on all aspects of Neighbourhood Development Plans, what they are and how to get one going in your community.

The event is being held in Bakewell and anyone with an interest in Neighbourhood Planning is welcome. The evening will explore the benefits and issues around Neighbourhood Planning with presentations from a number of experts in their field as well as question and answer sessions and a Neighbourhood Planning surgery.

Joe Dugdale from Rural Action Derbyshire (RAD), a veteran of Neighbourhood Planning, will be giving the lowdown on Neighbourhood Plans - what they are and what they are good for.

Senior planning officers at both the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) and Campaign for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) will expand on their support for neighbourhood planning.

Jonny Green from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) will talk about Government's approach and commitment to Neighbourhood Plans.

Bakewell and Bradwell's Neighbourhood Planning Groups will be presenting their experience of producing a plan and will be taking questions.
