Trustee Vacancies at Rural Action Derbyshire

Rural Action Derbyshire is looking for people that live and/or work in Derbyshire, particularly Bolsover and North East Derbyshire, who are interested in making a difference in their community to join its Board of Trustees.

Sylvia Green Chief Executive of Rural Action Derbyshire said: ‘Trustees play a vital role in the work of any charity, and at RAD we have been very fortunate to have some excellent trustees who have really supported the development and success of the Charity’s work. We now have an opportunity to recruit additional trustees and we are keen to hear from anyone who would like to help us to support community development in Derbyshire.’

She went on to say: ‘You do not require any particular qualifications to be a trustee, but some experience of managing organisations, the ability to act strategically and a good understanding of the issues facing rural communities in Derbyshire would be very useful. Currently we do not have representation from North East Derbyshire or Bolsover and we would encourage people from those areas to come forward.

Trustees undertake the role on an unpaid, voluntary basis, and would be expected to attend Board meetings four times per year, as well as other occasional meetings and events.
