Why choose RAD?
RAD officers have many years experience in supporting Derbyshire communities and Parish Councils to produce community led, or parish plans. We have produced over 50 in the last decade!
Since the Localism Act was passed in 2012, RAD have supported Neighbourhood Plans in Ripley, Chapel en le Frith, Bakewell, Kirk Ireton, Crich, South Wingfield, Melbourne and Whitwell. Ripley and Chapel en le Frith have successfully passed their examinations and referendums and are now ready to be adopted into their Local Plans.
RAD has a great track record in getting all kinds of people involved and working together for their community. It is the quality of community engagement that makes a plan succeed or fail.
RAD is not a planning authority, so we can provide neutral and independent advice. We have excellent working relationships with all Derbyshire Local Authorities and we can often make it easier for local people to make the right contacts.
RAD is part of a National Rural Community Action Network that has led on community-led planning and guidance which supports us with up to date advice and materials which we can share with you.Go back to Neighbourhood Planning
