Its a beautiful image isnt it, a lovely house, surrounded by fields.  A quiet lane without much traffic, not a place you get many walkers either. I can just imagine sitting outside on summer evenings, listening to the birds singing and watching the butterflies floating past.

But what if this is the place your abuser has moved you to?  There’s no bus route past here and you don’t have access to the car without being questioned why you need it.  No neighbours and no walkers means no one to hear the shouting.  Its miles to the next house never mind the nearest town or village.

Here it isn’t just mental and emotional isolation, it is physical isolation.  The victim is quite literally captive.

This is what we do what we do, here at The Willow Project, challenging attitudes and changing lives.
