Hello from Rural Action Derbyshire’s SAT (Suicide Awareness Training) Team

As you may have seen from our website, we have postponed our Suicide Awareness Training until after the end of May 2020. In the meantime, it is really important to remember that even during these challenging times the best way to support someone in distress hasn’t changed:

“make time to listen to people and ask them to talk about how they’re feeling”

Also, please make time to look after your own mental health. There are some great tips for looking after your mental health during the Coronavirus outbreak here: https://mentalhealth.org.uk/coronavirus

Derbyshire County Council have also created an excellent website https://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/social-health/health-and-wellbeing/health-protection/disease-control/coronavirus/coronavirus-covid-19.aspx to provide Derbyshire people with lots of information about many issues, including emotional health and wellbeing, relating to Coronavirus.

We really hope you find this information helpful,

Stay safe and well

From the SAT Team at Rural Action Derbyshire
