Workshops - afternoon session

You will have the chance to attend two 45 minute workshops in the afternoon from the following topics:

  • Planning for sustainable halls - it's always good to know where you're going and how you plan to get there
  • Using digital to promote your hall, engage with your community and support your users
  • Online Booking Systems - what you need to know
  • Community Engagement - what your community needs and how to meet those needs
  • Recruiting and retaining volunteers - how to get more people involved
  • Broadband and the internet - why its important, how to optimise it and how to find funding

There will be a number of exhibitors at the conference relevant to village and community halls with time before the conference starts, during the tea/coffee breaks and during lunch to find out what they can offer your hall. If you don't have time to speak to everyone we can pass on contact details after the event so you can follow up in your own time.

Click on the link below to see the trade stands currently confirmed (as of 19th August). More names will be added as bookings come in.

The Venue

The Post Mill Centre is a fantastic community building with excellent facilities. It has plenty of space and parking, but it can be a little tricky to find. There is a sign on a lamp post opposite the entrance, so look out for it! It's only about 5 minutes from Junction 28 of the M1.

Tea and coffee will be available, as well as a light buffet lunch so please make sure you let us know of any dietary requirements when you book.

Early Bird (book before 1st October): £36 (£30 + VAT)
