Health & Safety and Hygiene in Village and Community Halls

Village Hall Management Committees - What you need to know!

The main responsibility for ensuring the premises are adequate, well maintained, suitably equipped, clean and generally up to required standards lies with the members of the village hall management committee.  It is important that the management committee takes reasonable care and is ‘duly diligent’ in the management of the hall.

The session will include:

  • Key statutory health & safety requirements for village halls
  • How to prepare a health & safety policy and a health & safety file
  • The five steps to risk assessment
  • Your First Aid box and the recording of accidents and incidents
  • Free copy of ACRE Information Sheet 15 – ‘Health & Safety legislation and village halls’ (usually £12)

Cost: £30 plus VAT, total due £36.00 per person.
