How to manage village hall finances

The aim of this session is to assist Treasurers and Trustees on the financial management of village halls.

This FREE 2 hour online training session will give guidance on the financial policies and procedures which will safeguard the assets of the charity, manage risk, guide decision making and protect the officers and trustees from risk.

For the majority of village halls, the Charity Commission requirements are for simple accounts which can be achieved by anyone, with or without book-keeping knowledge.

None of us could have predicted the current pandemic we are in, nor the financial impact it is having on charities and the communities they support. It has demonstrated however, that now more than ever, village halls need to consider their future long-term sustainability. Be ready when we come out of the restrictions and halls are able to reopen as normal.

We will cover the need for holding appropriate reserves and a Reserves Policy, which should help charities navigate any future unforeseen risks.
