Carol Service

The 9th Annual Farmers Carol Service was held at the Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell on Sunday 3rd December 2017. Once again it was hosted by the High Peak Livestock Society and Derbyshire Agricultural Chaplaincy and continues to grow in popularity every year with over 500 people attending.

Bel Canto and St Anne’s Church Choir lifted the singing to heavenly heights and farmers, young farmers, and NFU representatives read the lessons. We were delighted to welcome the Duchess of Devonshire showing her support to farming. We look forward to next year and wish all in the farming community a wonderful Christmas.

The service was led by RAD's very own Agricultural Chaplain, Revd. Alan Griggs.

Charity Art Sale and Auction

This was the second year that an Art Sale and Auction was held, in memory of of Bridget Phillips. It raised £388 to be split equally between RABI and the new Macmillan Unit in Chesterfield.

A big thank you to Lesley Griggs http://www.derbysketchingclub.co.uk/members-galleries/lesley-griggs and Felicity Jackson http://www.felicityjacksonart.co.uk/gallery.php for donating pictures to the auction.

In addition, Philip Holland https://fphilipholland.wordpress.com/the-author/ shared Christmas poetry in the service which people could then purchase with all funds raised in support of RABI.
