Rural Action Derbyshire Shortlisted for National Award

We have been shortlisted for the Charity Times Awards 2020 in the category of "Charity of the Year: with an income of less than £1 million."

Celebrating best practice in the UK charity and not-for-profit sector the 21st annual Charity Times Awards are organised by Charity Times.

The awards reward excellence across over 25 separate categories rewarding the best individual charities and charity leaders, alongside the best examples of specific areas of charity management including fundraising, communications, campaigning, use of technology, and more.

Having been established in 1924, Rural Action Derbyshire has a long history and proven track record. Since then the organisation has worked tirelessly for the rural communities of Derbyshire - during good times and bad!

Beverley Parker, CEO says: “I am so proud that Rural Action Derbyshire has been recognised in this way. The small and mostly part-time staff team work really hard to help support people in rural Derbyshire and it’s for them that I am pleased.

The last few months in particular have been very difficult during lockdown, especially for the staff who have also been home schooling their children. I can’t thank them enough for all they do.”

The winners will be announced at a virtual online ceremony at 7pm on 3rd September 2020.
