NFU Mutual supports Rural Action Derbyshire

NFU Mutual Agents and their staff at the local Uttoxeter & Burton on Trent agency are delighted to have nominated Rural Action Derbyshire to receive a donation of £1582 from a national £1m ‘Agency Giving Fund’ launched by NFU Mutual’s Head Office.

In light of the national emergency the country is facing, NFU Mutual, the UK’s leading rural insurer, has allocated £1m nationally to help local frontline charities at this difficult time.

Bev Parker CEO of Rural Action Derbyshire said, “We are delighted to have been nominated by the NFU Uttoxeter & Burton agency - it means so much to have the support of a key organisation working with farmers, rural businesses and people living in the countryside. RAD exists because we believe no-one should be unfairly disadvantaged by living or working in a rural area. This support will help us to work with communities in South Derbyshire to address disadvantage caused by rural isolation and make a very real difference, especially now in these very challenging times.”

Alex Broome Senior Agent at Uttoxeter Agency said: “The Coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on everybody, including our customers and their local communities. Rural Action Derbyshire is making a wonderful difference to our communities in South Derbyshire in these challenging times, and we are proud to have been able to nominate this local charity to benefit from NFU Metal’s national fund.”
