Village Halls Week

Village Halls Week, taking place from 20th January 2020 to 26th January 2020, aims to celebrate England’s Village Halls. This includes volunteers and the vital services halls provide in their community.

In January 2019, the Village Halls Week celebrations gained significant media attention with halls across the country being featured on 16 BBC channels. It's the perfect opportunity to showcase your village hall or community building.

There are two main celebrations planned nationally over the week.

Share your history - Thursday 23rd January

Share your hall's history on social media using the hashtags #tbt (Throw Back Thursday) and #villagehallsweek. You could put up old pictures or past flyers, ditail significant guests, share on old film or write an article on your history.

National Open Day - Saturday 25th January

Halls will be holding open days across of of England. This is a great opportunity to get new trustees, new user groups, boost community engagement and get a visit from your local MP.
