Despite its idyllic image, living in a rural area is not without its challenges. Within the rural communities of Derbyshire there are pockets of isolation and deprivation. With service development often focused on urban areas, poor transport links and reduced access to jobs and training, rural disadvantage places an additional strain on our most vulnerable and low-income groups.
Working in partnership with public, private and voluntary organisations, Rural Action Derbyshire is helping to address the disadvantages that many Derbyshire residents are facing.
