Training Seminars

FREE half day suicide awareness training seminars throughout Derbyshire for staff or volunteers working with vulnerable people. 

Aims
  • To promote the belief we can save lives
  • To raise awareness of suicide and self-harm
  • To explore and challenge individual (and society's) views
To provide
  • An understanding of risk factors
  • An indication of likely suicidal behaviours
  • The confidence to help those in distress appropriately
  • An opportunity for discussion and networking
  • A resource pack for future reference

The seminars are supported by Public Health at Derbyshire County Council and free to those living and working in Derbyshire. 

Only 3 from one organisation can attend each seminar. If you have booked a space, but are unable to attend you must cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the event so that your space may be offered to people on the waiting list. If your space cannot be filled we may have to charge you for your ticket.

Courses - Seminars run from 9.30am to 1.00pm
  • Wednesday 17th January - Clay Cross
  • Friday 26th January - Derby
  • Monday 12th February - Darley Dale
  • Tuesday 13th March - Markham Vale
