We have a fantastic team of staff at RAD.

The majority of staff are part-time and work from the office in Matlock or with remote access to our IT network many also have the freedom to work from home or other locations.

We currently have no job vacancies.

Trustee Vacancy

We are looking for someone that lives and/or works in Derbyshire who is interested in making a difference in their community to join our Board of Trustees.

Beverley Parker, Chief Executive of Rural Action Derbyshire said: ‘Trustees play a vital role in the work of any charity, and at RAD we have been very fortunate to have some excellent trustees who have really supported the development and success of the Charity’s work. We now have an opportunity to recruit an additional trustee and we are keen to hear from anyone who would like to help us to support community development in Derbyshire.’

She went on to say: ‘You do not require any particular qualifications to be a trustee, but some experience of managing organisations, the ability to act strategically and a good understanding of the issues facing rural communities in Derbyshire would be very useful.

Trustees undertake the role on an unpaid, voluntary basis, and would be expected to attend Board meetings four times per year, as well as other occasional meetings and events.

I'm interested, tell me more

Volunteers at RAD have played an important role within the organisation, from helping with IT to supporting farmers, village halls and coordinating the oil buying scheme.

If you are interested in any area of our work and have some free time, skills and enthusiasm, then please get in touch.
