Why work for us?

RAD has an excellent track record of staff retention with some long-term members of staff as well as some younger ones who have started their careers with us. We have had 2 Intern placements who subsequently became permanent members of staff as well as full-time and part-time Kickstart placements who became permanent members of the team.group of RAD staff and dog on steps

Working for RAD will give you excellent experience to help you develop your skills and help shape your career prospects. We love to develop staff and give them opportunities to progress internally or move on elsewhere.

A Kickstarter turned permanent member of staff was named as a finalist at the 2022 prestigious Derbyshire Business Awards.

The majority of RAD staff are part-time and work from the office in Matlock. With the flexibility of remote access to our IT hybrid working can also be an option.

A great place to work

At RAD we embrace the passions and abilities of everyone in our team to create a friendly, flexible and productive working environment in which our people and our charity can grow and thrive together.

By believing that life outside work is as important as life at work, we do all we can to ensure that our people are as healthy, positive and motivated whilst working with us.

The covid pandemic reminded us that we need to grasp opportunities, adapt and meet challenges creatively and support each other to develop and succeed as an organisation and as individuals.

We understand that work is about much more than just money and that our work life impacts significantly on our physical, mental and social wellbeing.

We offer a broad range of benefits to everyone in our team with an aim to ensure that working with us helps them to stay healthy, invest time in their family, friends or passions, take opportunities to give back to their community and have the financial resources and support they need.
