With over 250 halls underpinning rural community life in Derbyshire, we have a wide variety of heritage in our community halls which range from Village Halls, Church Halls, and Club Houses to former Miners' Welfare Institutes, Town Halls and Community Centres and everything in between.
We estimate there are around 2,500 voluntary trustees with a responsibility for managing community halls across Derbyshire, who will at some point require a level of specialist support.
By joining our Village Hall and Community Building Affiliation Scheme you will have access to advice and support from our dedicated RAD development worker and her networks. The scheme also provides a monthly newsletter and discounts on training and other resources. For further information please click on the tile below.
RADs Advisory service has operated since 1924 and the information and wealth of knowledge has been found invaluable by many people involved with Derbyshire Village Halls and Community Buildings management committees.
As a member of the ACRE Network, RAD is also delighted to be able to offer village hall and community buildings in Derbyshire an energy provider to find the best possible energy deals available. This service is available to both affiliate and non-affiliates. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
For non-affiliates RAD can provide access to training and events, ACRE information sheets (including some model documents) and E-bulletin updates of relevance to those running community spaces. To access this information please see the tiles below.
To receive the e- bulletins updates on information that relates to the running of village and community halls, please ensure you subscribe to the email list.
