Apply for a Green Homes Grant (South Derbyshire)

South Derbyshire District Council is  working alongside Westville Insulation Ltd to improve the energy performance of homes. This is achieved by external wall insulation, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and associated works.

At this time, they are able to offer loft insulation and cavity wall insulation works to any home in South Derbyshire upon successful application.

You can apply for up to £10,000 of the Government funded grant - at no cost contribution to the homeowner-

Energy improvements on your home could reduce your energy bills by up to £600 each year.

In order to be eligible for the grant, your application must meet the following criteria:

The grant will be offered subject to a property survey and eligibility being met below:

• Total Household income annually below £30,000 gross.
• Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D or lower.

If your home does not have an EPC, you are still able to apply as this can be organised on your behalf.

Private Landlords are eligible for assistance, with a 33 per cent contribution required from the landlord towards costs, up to £5000 contribution to the total fee.
