10th Annual Farmer's Carol Service

Rev Alan Griggs, the Agricultural Chaplain is delighted with the turnout for this years carol service at the Livestock Market in Bakewell on 2nd December. With over 500 people attending and £1,025 raised for charity it is encouraging to see the event building in popularity each year.

Thanks must go to the many people who helped to make it such a successful event, especially the Bel Canto & St Anne’s church choir, Youlgreave Silver Band, all the readers, the poetry by Philip Holland (who raised an additional £68.50 for RABI through the sale of his poetry), Robert Walker and The High Peak Livestock Society for organising the service, Alastair Sneddon & Bagshaws for hosting the service and of course everyone’s support for coming.

Why not have a look through some of the photos on Google photos.

The funds raised were in support of RABI, Ashgate and Cheshire Hospices and the Agricultural Chaplaincy Welfare Fund.
