Supporting the over 60's in the Derbyshire Dales

Readycall Macmillan provides befriending and practical support to people aged 60 and over, living in the Derbyshire Dales who are isolated, vulnerable or lonely. Their team of friendly volunteers, who are all trained and DBS checked, provide companionship through befriending, or support people with a range of tasks including shopping, dog walking and lifts to cancer related hospital appointments.

The service is funded by Macmillan Cancer Support and operates under the umbrella of a local charity, Connex Community. Readycall has offices in Bakewell and Ashbourne and supports communities throughout the Derbyshire Dales.

They are keen to promote their service to people who might benefit from their help or who may be interested in volunteering with them.
